Economy, CommunicationsThe state-owned Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation operates numerous national radio stations broadcasting in English, Shona, Ndebele, and other African languages. There is also a national television station broadcasting on two channels. Zimbabwe has two national daily newspapers—The Chronicle, published in Bulawayo, and The Herald, published in Harare. Both dailies, which are government-owned, are written in English and are monitored by the government-owned Zimbabwe Mass Media Trust. Dozens of nondaily registered periodicals and newspapers, most in English, are published as well. Zimbabwe Inter-Africa News Agency is the national news agency; several foreign news agencies also operate in the country.
